R. Jeffries Anderson

Jeff graduated from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1974.  He is a licensed physical therapist who specializes in geriatrics and orthopedics, with experience in both in-patient and out-patient settings.  Jeff has made various opportunities to study a variety of techniques with their makers, including Maitland, McKenzie, Mulligan and Paris.  He has also had opportunity to learn Cyriax techniques.  Jeff’s interests as a physical therapist include sports injuries from an “aging baby-boomer’s” perspective.  Jeff is Co-Owner of Orthopedic Physical Therapy as well as The Body Shoppe Health and Fitness Center where he is a Spinning instructor.



 

Elizabeth A. Dolby

Liz graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania in 1984.  Prior to her Physical Therapist degree she received her Bachelors in Exercise Science which enhances her passion of, and specialty in, exercise and sports rehab programs.  In addition to sports injuries, Liz specializes in orthopedics, including neck and back pain.  Liz is Co-Owner of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and The Body Shoppe Health and Fitness Center where she teaches weight lifting, step aerobics, BOSU and boot-camp.  She also enjoys designing sport-specific training programs for The Body Shoppe to improve athletes’ performance and enhance safety.  Her biggest joy is to watch her patients rehabilitate beyond their injury into a healthy lifestyle.


 

Kara Jacobsen

Kara graduated from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME in 1996.  Kara has experience in both in-patient and out-patient physical therapy settings.  In addition to orthopedics, Kara has specialized in the Dr. Vodder School of Manual Lymph Drainage.  She has also specialized in shoulder injuries and post operative conditions and has trained with local shoulder surgeons to enhance their protocols.  Additionally Kara has taken specialty training in Myofascial Release, Mulligan, McKenzie and Kinesio Taping Techniques.  Kara also has an interest in working with geriatric orthopedic conditions.




Karen Johnston

Karen graduated from Husson College in Bangor, ME in 2003 and received her Doctorate in 2007.   Karen specializes in orthopedics, the Leduc Method of Manual Lymph Drainage and Vestibular Rehabilitation (Vertigo).  She has experience as both an in-patient and out-patient physical therapist and also works in an elementary school setting.  Her work with pediatrics is limited to elementary age children.  Karen has been trained in Mulligan, McKenzie and Myofascial Release Techniques as well as Orthotic Fabrication.  Her clinical interests include any post surgical condition.



 

Marina Leonovich – Language Proficiency, Russian

Marina graduated from American International College in Springfield, MA in 2008.  She has specialized training in a variety of techniques including Myofascial Release, McKenzie, Mulligan and Orthotic Fabrication.  She has had experience in out-patient and in-patient settings, as well as a nursing home where she gained experience with geriatric conditions.  Marina’s clinical interests include sports injuries in all age groups and rehabilitation to a health lifestyle.



Lisa Moore

Lisa graduated from Springfield College in Springfield, MA in 1993.  She is also a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the APTA.  Lisa has extensive additional training in the Foot and Ankle including lower extremity mechanics, gait analysis and runner injuries.  She is also trained in Orthotic Fabrication.  Lisa has experience in both in-patient and out-patient settings and has had specialized training in Myofascial Release and Mulligan Techniques.


Pam Parkhurst

Pam graduated from Hunter College, City University of New York in New York City in 1983.  Pam has extensive training in a variety of physical therapy techniques but chooses to limit her practice to her special interest: balance and gait issues and posture related repetitive stress injuries.  Pam has many years of training and practice in the Feldenkrais Method which augments her treatment of patients with movement and balance disorders. 


Linda Sharkey

Linda graduated from Simmons College in Boston, MA in January 2009 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  She places a strong emphasis on education because she believes understanding your body and how it works is the first step towards healing.  Linda has taken continuing education courses in Positional Release Therapy, Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (McKenzie technique), Geriatric Neurorehabilitation, and Rehabilitation of Patients with Dementia.  She treats general orthopedic patients and has significant in-patient and out-patient experience working with patients with gait and balance disorders.



Kristie Sulda

Kristie graduated from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT in 1999.  Kristie specializes in orthopedics, pediatrics, vestibular rehabilitation (vertigo), pre- and post-natal programs, and industrial rehabilitation including stretch break program implementation.  In addition to out-patient physical therapy Kristie also works in an elementary school setting.  Her work with pediatrics includes infants and treatment of Torticollis.  She also has interest in foot an ankle injures, including gait analysis and orthotics fabrication. 



Betsy Wassmann

Betsy graduated from Springfield Technical Community College as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2009.  She has had specialized training in Myofascial Release and Mulligan Techniques, as well as Rotator Cuff Rehab and can follow the lead of any Physical Therapist in our clinic.  She especially enjoys working with patients in the pools as well as hands on manual therapies.



Susan Piro

Susan graduated from the University of Lowell in Massachusetts in 1984.  Sue has had additional training in numerous physical therapy techniques including McConnell, Maitland, Cyriax, McKenzie, Mulligan, Barnes’ Myofascial Release and advanced use of Therapeutic Modalities.  She has also taken courses to utilize Pilates and Tai Chi to enhance physical therapy techniques.  Susan also has training in foot and ankle injuries including orthotics fabrication.  She also has experience with hand injuries and is trained in treatment of Vertigo


Betty Tencati

Betty graduated from Mount Wachusett Community College as a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2010.  She is adept at utilizing manual techniques and therapeutic exercise to assist our patients with their orthopedic rehabilitation.  She has specialized training in McKenzie Techniques and has experience working with a wide range of ages from school age to geriatrics.
